Improved Protection & Amenity For Our Beaches and Waterways

  • Long term dredging campaign for Brisbane Water and Tuggerah Lakes
  • Put sand back on our beaches and seawalls at Wamberal and Norah Head
  • Breakwall and permanent navigation channel for The Entrance
  • Maintain our navigation channels and build more saltwater tidal pools and more fishing platforms for our waterways.

Rebuild Our Infrastructure and Remove the Backlog

  • Improve our roads, kerbs and guttering, drains and footpaths and get our water, sewer and drainage “out of the red”
  • Rebuild our Roads – No More Patching – Increase road funding by 50%
  • More public reserves and parks with better access and amenity for our beaches, waterfronts and suburbs

Support Our Commuters

  • Better commuter parking at railway stations, improved drop-off and pick-up points and free wi-fi at commuter hubs
  • Bring back ferry services for Tuggerah Lakes and Brisbane Water – give them the Opal Card
  • Improve the M1 – create truck lanes and better entry and exit slip roads

Protect Our Environment

  • Gross pollutant traps (GPTs) to stop all pollutants and rubbish from entering
    our waterways
  • End sewage overflows into our waterways
  • End commercial fishing in our waterways – Tuggerah Lakes and the Hawkesbury
  • Improved feral pest program to protect our native fauna and flora
  • Preserve and protect environmentally sensitive land – more state funding for acquisition of wetlands
  • Tree removal for residential properties approved subject to tree for tree replacement
  • No coal mining or gas fracking for the Central Coast

Better Development and Planning

  • Low cost housing and improved land supply for our young families
  • Stop the prison coming to the north of the Coast
  • No boarding houses that lack local community support
  • Remove red tape stopping mum and dad development
  • “Say No” to sea level rise policies that destroy Central Coast property values.

Support Local Business and Local Jobs

  • Less red tape—make small business more viable and make the Central Coast Council small business friendly
  • Better support for our local oyster farmers
  • Increase the range of vocational training to meet the needs of our youth and our existing workers
  • Support the Mariners and their bid for management of Gosford Stadium
